Date Format Errors

I have this weird bug that happens occasionally, I have the calendar save dates as yyyy-mm-dd but every now and then it will save one as dd/mm/yyyy which how the UI display looks. Any idea what could be causing this?

Sorry I don't have any obvious explanation. If you validate and format the date before saving then it should be consistent.
