I am no longer using ChronoConnectivity so decided to uninstall, leaving CF6 & CF7 in place. The trouble was that I then got the messages about CEGCore2 missing. I reinstalled CF6 & CF7 with no effect. There was a message telling me to install that library from ChronoEngine but I can't find it.
In the end, the solution was to reinstall ChronoConnectivity and then disable the three components ChronoConnectivity6, ChronoengineGcore2 & ChronoConnectivity6 Package. A bit clumsy but it does at least remove CC6 form the admin menus. Where can I get a copy of the CEGCir2 library to install on it's own?
