CSS Conflict

gilliancowe 03 Sep, 2008
Hi,

New to Joomla and Chronoforms. Got Joomla 1.5 and latest version of Chronoforms. Love the product, will be buying a license. Just one wee comment. It would be helpful on the downloads page if you told us that the Component has to be unzipped and installed in a folder using FTP. Took a while to find that information.

I've got a CSS conflict. When I make the Chronofroms css set yo 'Yes' in the General tab I loose a little rectangle on the top right of my template (screenshot attached). The white band at the top has a rectangle missing at the top right. Only page affected is the page with the form.

Does anyone know what could be conflicting? Sorry to ask but I have already searched the forum for answers to lots of things to help me understand how this works. Not having much luck with this one.

Thanks.

Thank you, to install Chronoforms you need to go to Extensions > install > and browse for the zip and you are done!

the CSS issue will need a CSS code change to your template, you will need to find which class has the same name in the CF style sheet and in the template CSS and change it at the template one and change the corresponding element at the template code, if you have Firebug extension for Firefox then this task is so quick and easy!

Cheers

Wow that was quick! Thank you. I picked this product because all the reviews said the support was excellent. Very impressed.

Thanks for the answer. I have firebug so will be able to make the change no problem.

Thanks too for the other information. Still finding my way around with Joomla. Only started last week, so sorry if I missed information you had given.

When you say Extensions > Install and you are done, am I right in thinking I download all three zip files that show on the download page, then install the Plugin? Obviously I have got it working, so this question is a bit redundant but for future reference I tried Extensions > Install for all three zip files but got errors. The cf_Authorise... file was the one I couldn't figure out.

Hi Gillian,

just start with Extensions > install then choose the Component file, which is Chronoforms V3.0 BETA 2, this will install fine ? assuming its not already installed now or it will tell you its installed!
