Pausing/disabling fields?

Can I disable and/or pause a field instead of deleting it then re-inserting it? (My form all of a sudden has issues and it seems that by removing some fields the form works, only I would like to disable/enable these fields instead of deleting and recreating them all the time)

The simplest way may be to make a copy of your form and remove the unwanted fields in the copy. Then you can switch between the two versions as needed.
