recently purchased chronoforms 7 for our Website on Joomla. Today created and posted first form - so far so good, but after few minutes it started to spam. I did used simple form wizard with some required fields and google recaptcha v2. Spam mails im getting now doesnt contain some required fields (just no values) and passed through recaptcha. Unfortunately there is not much information about Chronoforms 7 at this time so i would be happy about any advise.

BTW we did used for multiple projects v6 and there wasn't spam at all with recaptcha...

No updates on this topic? Unfortunately there is no documentation for version 7 and its realy pretty differen, so im even cant find a way to handle events and serverside validation... Please advise - we getting lot of spam with our form currently.

I have exactly the same problem. Spam-mails via the contact form with empty required fields, passing reCaptcha V3.

Searching all over the internet, but no solution.Lack of documentation about for instance server side validation does not help either.

I'm just very sad, that as since years payed customer, i do not get even a messgae back since over the week. In the past this was never the case. What is happening with your support? I do only hope that all are healthy and this is not cause of current pandemic.

Hi again, im still looking for CF7 solution with spam. In meanwhle i had to go back to CF6 but expecting there some issues with sematic UI thats disturbing me by using offcanvas sidebars and i can't find any way to disable load semaic UI parts.

Please provide some solution or tutorial for CF7 to manage server side validation.

Did you enable the "Check security fields" setting in the form settings ? because otherwise the reCaptcha will not be checked, you better try to include a security question and test the form yourself, does it stop a wrong answer ?

To you suggestion with security question - I can't see any related option, only for security image. I will try this one then.

However if i try current form on my own, it works properly by disallowing submitting untill all required fields and reCaptcha are correct. Spamers are somehow able to submit bypassing reCaptcha and some of required fields. So i dont think the issue will be solved by adding sequrity question or image. But i will give a try and publish form with security image and recaptcha. Let see if this will prevent spammers.

the only strange thing is that without resolving the captcha the form is sent and then the message appears that the captcha has not been resolved.

If you are getting spam with required fields empty then serverside validation should block these from full submission.

Note: empty spam messages are often caused by web bots scanning your site and checking every URL they find.

Please make sure that your form does NOT have a "single" page or that your email action is not on the first page, because the security is checked on the 2nd page!

I'm having the same issue with CF7, with mail going to the recipient's Junk mailbox. Could you enlighten me on that? Is it a problem with Outlook, Server or Domain Name?
