How upload attachment (photo's) to joomla images folder

How to upload files to a custom Joomla images folder using ChronoForms.

Overview

The issue occurs when the upload path in CF v6 is not correctly configured, causing files to save to the default CF directory instead of the intended location.
Ensure the target folder exists and has proper permissions, then set the custom upload path directly in the file field settings within the form. If problems persist in v6, consider upgrading to CF v7 where path configuration is more reliable.

I read the forum and tried everything but can't manage to upload to a folder in Joomla. I want to upload to joomlasite /images/uploads/foldername

Or photo's are uploaded to /components/com_chronoforms6/chronoforms/uploads or there is no upload.

I'm trying for hours now and can't get it to work. Maybe anyone has a suggestion. See the images attached for how I have set it up now.

When I open the form I get:

Array
(
[option] => com_chronoforms6
[chronoform] => wandelfotos
[434665ff3160d2328919be6ad0111b37] => 217a4f5e3bdbd4633500a6f55bd9eff2
[Itemid] =>
)

Array
(
[upload6] => Array
(
[path] => /home/zz************/domains/************/.nl/public_html/images/uploads/wandelvierdaagse/
[fotos] => Array
(
[extensions] => Array
(
[0] => jpg
[1] => jpeg
[2] => png
)

[info] => File is not present.
)

[var] => Array
(
)

)

)

And this is the results page:
Array
(
[option] => com_chronoforms6
[chronoform] => wandelfotos
[event] => submit
[akkoord_plaatsingsvoorwaarden] => Akkoord
[naam] => Marc
[text5] => marc@************.nl
[routenaam] => Het stiekeme paadje
[afstand] => 4x10km
[fotos] => Array
(
[0] => hb-telecaster.jpg
)

[button3] =>
[434665ff3160d2328919be6ad0111b37] => 217a4f5e3bdbd4633500a6f55bd9eff2
[Itemid] =>
)

Answer
why not use v7 and set the upload path in the global form settings ? even file fields can have a special upload path!

Ok, I will try that. But I didn't because I have more forms and can't convert/import them in V7. Only V5 forms, and I'm using V6

even in v6 the upload path should work fine, as long as the path exists it should work!

I could get the path working in V7, not in V6. In V6 I only managed to upload to default directory of Chrono. I tried al kind of options. It only uploaded to to the default path or did not upload at all. The folder/path exists. But I'v stopped to use V6 for this now. V7 works better.
