Add custom JavaScript code without script tags in ChronoForms.

Overview

The issue arises from a typo in the form builder interface, where "OUT" is incorrectly used instead of "WITHOUT."
Ignore the typo and enter your JavaScript code directly into the designated field, ensuring it does not include any script tags.

I was wondering what the above should mean for custom javascript. Or is it just a typo and it should read "JavaScript code WITHOUT script tags"?

I suspect that's a typo as you suggest - you can easily check with a little test script.
