500 Internal Server Error

Kloemi 22 Nov, 2020
Hi I created a complex form with Chronoforms yesterday. Everything went smoothly. I saved it in the evening and this morning I wanted to edit it in the Joomla admin area but no chance. When I tried to switch to the edit mode of the form this error message appears immediately (in the Joomla backend). But in the front area of the page everything is normal. Form can be opened and edited. New form created, works. Backup of the old form is not possible. Admin and Front View also work without problems?

Maybe someone has an idea? Would be urgent! Thanks

The curious thing is, I can open a backup I made 5 hours before without any problems. Now I have tried the current backup on another Joomla installation and see there after waiting a while it opens? How do I get it back on the other Joomla installation? I do not understand anything anymore. Nothing has been changed on the server itself.

when do you get this error exactly ?

try to set the error reporting to maximum in the joomla global config, what error do you get when you try again ?

You may also try to enable the "Safe mode" in the CF7 settings page, does it help ?

Activating the safe mode helped immediately. Switching to Max. did not give any additional information.

Thanks for the quick help. What exactly does the safe mode do?

the safe mode does not preload the form views and actions data, they are loaded when you try to edit them, making the form loading easier!
