Email is not working with cronoform component.

manjula 23 Aug, 2008
Hi all,

I am using Cronoforms V3.0 BETA 2 component to create form for Joomla_1.5.5-Stable-Full_Package.
But.... even after setting the email results field in General tab to 'Yes', it is showing enabled=0,disabled=1
under Emails column of Form Manager.
And also not getting any confirmation email from the form.

Screenshots for the above have been attached for the clear idea.

Expecting help from the joomla forum members..........😟

Thanks in advance.

Hi majula,

I'm afraid that your images are far too small to read. Most likely you do not have all of 'subject', 'to email', from email' and 'from name' defined for your form. Until you do this you will not be able to enable emails.

I need to see the emails setup screen, and please click the email you want so the Email properties are shown on the right hand side!

did you read the tooltip above "Enabled, Disabled : 1" ?

Hi manjula ,

There have been several questions like this. I've attached a first draft of a Tutorial about setting up emails. I hope this may help you find out what is going wrong.

Hi,
I am having the same problem as well, and using the chronoforms 3.0 beta 2, on joomla 1.5.6.
Checked with the screen shots above and all looks similar. would greatly appreciate any help. thanks

Ok, my mistake. I have found the solution to my own problem. I was trying to find where the email parameters were, and the answer is in the above attached tutorial on page 6.

It is working fine now. Hurray!

Hi
I have a problem that I can't enable the email in the Email Properties box in Firefox (version 2.0.0.16). I can't see the bottom of the email properties box in order to make selections. The box scrolls with the page having the bottom quarter of the box hidden behind the explorer window frame.

It works in Internet Explorer 7 where the email properties box stays fixed to the top together with the email setup frame.

Is there perhaps a setting in Firefox that will stop the Email Properties box from scrolling together with the Page?

I found that disabling Javascript in the Firefox browser options under tools causes the Email Property box to stop scrolling with the window, allowing me to make the necessary changes while setting up Chronoforms.

Hi Bob Janes,

Thank You! very much. The problem has been solved by using your PDF tutorials.
Actually, The Email properties Box was scrolling down n i could'nt see the Enable option there as said by CM@SA.
But........ when i opened it in IE , I could see the Enable option in a Fixed place n i changed it to 'Yes'.
Now its working Fine......🙂

And also Thanks! to All who have helped to solve this problem.

And one more dought i have is, " is it possible to get the XML document of my form automatically by using this component?".

Thanks,
Manjula

Hi manjula,

Glad the tutorial helped. I hope that Max will take a look at the odd scrolling behaviour of the properties box.

At the moment there is no way of automatically getting an xml version of your form but it shouldn't be to difficult to code this (though I've never tried).
