I have a form with a text field and when I try to insert a web link into the field the update of the record fails and the web page that is returned is :

Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.
For example if I enter http://www.yourdomain.com it fails. if I enter www.yourdomain.com it is successful.

Anyone have thoughts on how to resolve this? it used to work (6 months ago when I last used the site) and I have not made any changes.

It looks as though your Mod Security settings are blocking the URL (that would be quite normal). You can check the settings there. If they can't be changed without compromising your site security then you could use JavaScript to strip the http:// prefix from any submitted urls.

Mod Security is a server thing, not Joomla or Chronoforms. You will need to talk to your host.
