AOL problem?

A user has aol 9.0 and is having trouble completing one of our forms. It's a simple form but when she goes to the text boxes her cursor does not blink, nor can she type anything in the boxes.

I have tested the form on IE, FF, Netscape, and Safari, and no problems.

If anyone out there uses aol can you check it for me (you don't have to actually submit, just let me know if you can fill out the fields)

Hi Cheryl,

AOL is a browser ? I thought its only some kind of IM, I really don't have that and in case the form works on other main browsers then this one has a serious problems🙂

Well I'm not sure if it's a browser in itself, but if they are accessing the form through the browser window IN AOL I am sure that AOL does weird things.

Unfortunately the person who has to approve all the work is not the most computer literate, and she useas AOL 9.0 so looks like I have problems. 😟

I recruited my MOM who has AOL to test it and it worked fine for her. So I have no idea why the person is having trouble with their AOL... but sheesh, what am I supposed to do, she's the MAIN person who has to approve things.

FWIW I uploaded a test simple php form to the site (not in Joomla) and she was ok with that. Then I used that form code and set up a chrono form, and she was able to use that.

So can anyone look at that form code (above in the first message) and tell me what might be making it not work for someone with AOL 9.0? I know it's a long shot but it has to work for her. I doubt telling her that AOL is the bane of my existence right now will really help. (but that's what I feel like doing).

your fields tags don't have value attributes value="", try to add them and test ?

Thanks Max, I'm trying that, but in the meantime if my mother and my other crash test dummy on AOL can do it (which they could) it's probably just that one computer. Which is frustrating and I'm sorry I wasted all my and your time even thinking about it.
