Hi,
Just installed ChronoForms V3.0 J1.5 BETA 1.zip on Joomla 1.5.5 - seems great but I can't get the validation to fire.
I have set test validations on two fields "given_names" required and "email" email address. Selecting validation library "mootools" - it's the only one in the list.
If I press the submit button, I just get back to the blank completion form.
I have trawled through the forums and see others with the same problem. I have tried the suggestions given there but with no joy.
Also went through the tutorial on validations (Really Easy Field validations) but I think you have now made that redundant with this new release as it's integrated into the product.
If I enable the anti-spam option that does work.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Jim

Hi Jim,
I'm not clear why but the mootools.js library isn't being loaded on your page.
Just a thought - have you got validation turned on in the Validation tab?

I incorrectly stated the release i was using in the first post - I am using ChronoForms V3.0 J1.5 BETA 1.zip - is this a good idea? Or should I revert to v2?
Yes, Validation is turned on. I turned it off and on again for luck. Still the same in IE
I tested in Firefox and Safari - interestingly both these browsers run the validation. It seem the problem is just in IE.
What's the difference between mooValidation.js and mooValidation2.js?
Another post mentions Prototype validation. I don't have that in the drop-down as an option. Does that apply to the newest release?
Cheers,
Jim

Hi All,
Found the soultion here http://www.chronoengine.com/forums.html?cont=posts&f=3&t=10738
I downloaded the patch file, applied all the files to my server component directory using FTP and now it works in IE.
As the post says, Beta 2 is on it's way and will fix this issue.
Thanks for your help GreyHead!
