How can I save the image of a signature widget in CFv6 into the database?

The headline describes my question. I have a form where all other values are stored. The table column in which I want to save the signature is type blob. I just can not manage to save the value.

What is my mistake?

I think I have found the solution. The signature field can not be saved automatically. You have to add it yourself as override.
