ChronoForms6 doesn't work

Good afternoon,

I bought ChronoForms6 this week because I wanted a reservation form on my website (www.vakantiehuisarcadia.nl) . I managed to put the form together, but unfortunately it doesn't work!
The fields that must be filled in will not receive an error message when left blank. I enabled validation for a number of fields (most of them) (button on mandatory) and put a "validate fields" action in the sumit section and an "event loader" in the "fail" area. Then it should work but it doesn't work!
Moreover, the "send" button does not send the mail. The validation may not work because the mail is not being sent. Finally, the error message only works when you want to send!

I have followed an instructional film Mindert Aardema on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEOPcm0YWSY, (is an instruction for Chronoforms6 but an older version). It is different on certain points, but I think I have been able to find the most.
Through the Joomla forum I also asked but the answer I received (https://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/52-cfv4/cfv4-emails/3556-error-qcould-not-instantiate-mail-functionq). html) did not take me further. I think all mail settings are correct.
The manual that I found on the internet is also from the older version.

I found a form page on your site using CFv6 but the page has no <form></form> tags so will not behave correctly. I'm not sure why they aren't there - something must be wrong in the form setup.

Thank you for answering, I don't quite understand what you mean by that. How can I add that so that the form will do what it should do?

I believe that is added by the Display Form action in the form Setup tab - see one of the Demo forms for an example.

 have no idea where I can find the demo forms! I cannot find that in my component

I have found the demo forms under the New button.

Unfortunately there is nothing in between that I can use to solve my problem!

I think the demo forms are also from the old ones version, is that right?

You have v6.1 installed ? if yes then just enable the form debug under the form settings and it will show you if the email is sent or not, you can paste the debug text here so we can check it

* I have placed a number of "mullti fields" in the admin side of the form, which I also see in the example on the admin side. On the front of the site, all fields are below each other. How can I fix that?

On the first tab, do you have your form type set to "Form" or is it "Custom" ?

Not on form but on adapted (aangepast). I think that in on English "Custom" is.

So if you have it set to custom, you need to put all of your form elements inside a "Form Area".

I have now succeeded in publishing the form with fields next to each other and with the asterisks at the required fields.
It is just not yet possible to actually send the form. I come up against this:
* If I click on the send button, all required fields should light up with an error message. That is not happening.
** If I enter Google ReCaptcha correctly, it will still give an error message. Then immediately all completed form boxes are empty again and you have to fill in the form again!

I have placed this in the submit area:
A validate fields with an event loader in the fail area
Below an email
And below that a message

*** Am I missing something here?
What needs to be submitted in the submit area to actually submit the form? ( I hope you understand me, because I use Google translate🙂

Have a look in Javascript Console (F12) to see if there are any errors when you try to submit.

Another small addition. When I leave all fields empty and click on the send button, I immediately get a message that the reChaptha has not been entered correctly, but not that the fields have not been entered

I tried F12 but for me it's all abracadabra. I really don't get it. I would not mind to give someone my private login code so that someone can watch it.

I still have not managed to send the form
I do not know if I have entered the "submit" part correctly;
If I check the reCaptcha well and also get the V sign, the site will still give a message that reCaptcha is not done properly. Can someone tell me how to fill in the submit part of a "Custom Form"?

Why do you need it to be a custom form anyway, instead of just setting it to form?

I don't really know that! I bought ChronoForms6 after seeing an instructional video on YouTube from Mindert Aardema, who made a form with ChronoForms6 (older version)
I thought that was a great way to create a form. He used the custom form. That is why I did that too.
Can I use the regular form to create just as extensive a form as I have on my site (although it still doesn't work )

Then I want to try that, but it remains difficult to buy a component and actually not have a manual with it. Nothing can be found about this version on YouTube. I've put a lot of time in it and to make a new form now and maybe not be able to get it working too......

Yes just set your form to "Form" instead of "Custom" there's no need to make it custom unless you have a reason to do so.

I have put the form on form but nothing is still happening. All problems are still as described above. The reCaptcha is the only one that gives an error message, while I am sure that I have checked the boxes correctly. There are no error messages if I leave a required field blank and the mail is not sent.
What to do now?

Got a link to this form? And you have EITHER the "check security fields" option selected OR you've used a Check reCaptcha action? NOT both?

Do you have the latest update installed ? if yes then just click New > Demo, then select the "basic contact form" option and build your form on top of that
