How to clear multiform data before redirect

NickOg 07 Jul, 2019
I am having no end of trouble with a three page multi page form.
Page 1 collect data from my database and offers pick options on that form
Page 2 displays the selection made to confirm
Page 3 writes the data to a receipts table and then redirects to a form to show the receipt

My problem is that no matter what I do when I come back to add further selections after posting the first it remembers the last set selected.
I have set for mutipage but stuck!

Have I forgotten something???

Hi Nick,

Are you using v6.1 with multi page enabled ? if yes then how many pages do you have in the form ? the last page should clear the form data after the last page is displayed.

Hi Max
Well - checking - a mixture.
ChronoForms6 Package Site Package 6.1.2
ChronoForms6 Administrator Component 6.1.4
ChronoForms6 Site Module v6
plus there is a plug in that is disabled
Chronoforms6 Site Plugin V6.0

There are 3 pages in the form - data entry - data check and there last one write to a table, Mutipage is enabled. When I reload the first page to enter more data the data entered in the first time is reloaded.

I plan to rebuild from scratch using your demo as a start and see how I go though would rather solve my current from😟

In the page settings for the last page, set it to "End"

That was it. The last page must be set to end in the page settings tab.

Many thanks again

Max - would it clarify for others if the last page in your multipage demo was sent to end?

I do not have the problem here, the pages are set to Auto by default and if your form is set to follow the pages order and your last form page is the last page under the "Pages" area then it should clear the form data after its processed.

Hi Max

Very odd - because it wasn't clearing the form. Certainly the last submit page was the last in the form. Setting the page to 'End' fixed the problem. I will go have another play based on your demo later.
Intriguing!

Hi Max
I have got to the bottom of that problem. I had left an empty 'Scratch' page at the end of the form so the final exit page was not in fact the 'End' page. Get rid of that Scratch page and the form works as you say - clearing the form data. On the other hand healyhatman's suggestion to make the last page 'End' works fine where for whatever reason your exit page is not the final page

Yes, if its set to Auto then it must be the last page, otherwise you can set it to End page!
