Hi mnymkr,
Yes, copy the page source code between (but not including) the <form> and </form> tags and paste it into the form html box in ChronoForms. That will give you the basis of your ChronoForms form. You may still need to do quite a lot of tidying up and tuning but the form should be recognisable straight away.

just to be clear,
chrono forms is availabe to all joomla components,
i can just cut and paste the chrono form code into my custom component above,
it doesn't have to be from a chrono forum URL?

No. ChronoForms forms are available either with ChronoForms URLs (like any other component) Or they can be embeeded in other content using the ChronoForms Mambot/Plugin. The Mambot/Plugin will show the form perfectly well but has one small drawback. If the user fails the imagevalidation they will be re-shown the form in the stand-alone version, not embedded in the same content page.
