Hi
on an old site (Joomla 2.5 + ChronoForm 4 RC3 ) we have several front end forms with a 'captcha input' fields that worked just fine until a few months.
Now the display is only a text field where the user doesn't know what to do : please check http://www.lmh.fr/accueil-general/accueil-emploi/candidature-spontanee
the customer doesn't want to update his site to J3.x
What should I do please ?
thanks
cyril
Hi Cyril,
Which Captcha are you using?
You should at least upgrade the ChronoForms to the most recent release of CFv4 and see if that makes a difference.
You could also check for JavaScript errors on the page that might be blocking the display.
Bob
Hi
we used the 'captcha input' fields and there is NO JS error in the console. We used the latest v4 component, module and plugins.
Is there another captcha field we should use?
did you go to http://www.lmh.fr/accueil-general/accueil-emploi/candidature-spontanee to see how the captcha field is displayed ?
thanks
cyril
Hi Cyril,
I am pretty certain that CFv4 RC3 is not the latest release.
Have you added the Load Captcha action in the form On Load event? That is required to show the captcha.
Bob
Hi
As I wrote we used the latest v4 component, module and plugins. The chronoForm component is 4.0.1 . Only the plugin and module are 4 RC3
Yes the LoadCaptch action is present in the OnLoad Event too. BUT I had to set "True Type Fonts Support" to "Without fonts support" and then the captcha appears !
thanks a lot
Cyril
However on another form (http://www.lmh.fr/accueil-general/accueil-emploi/les-offres-d-emploi/detail-de-l-offre?ref=312) the problem remains: the captcha doesn't appear
but in the backend for this form , in the EVENTS, FORMS settings or LEGEND tabs there is nothing ! where could it comefrom please ?
thanks
cyril
Hi Cyril,
In the thread title and in your first post you said that you are using RC3 please double-check if you have not already done so.
There is no sign of the Captcha element in the form you linked to. I don't know why that would be. The True Type fonts problem suggests that you might be using an older version of PHP (or one without True Type fonts enabled).
The simplest fix may be to use a different captcha?
Bob
Hi
We removed the captcha on this second page but the problem I wrote about was that in the backend for this form , in the EVENTS, FORMS settings or LEGEND tabs there is nothing ! where could it comefrom please ?
thanks

Hi cyril,
I have no idea, are there any JavaScript or PHP errors on the page?
Bob
unfortunately no. is there a possibility to give you access ?
thanks
