Update from 6.1.1 to 6.1.2 failed due to inability to update Cegcore Framework

joachimliedtke 08 May, 2019
Never encountered this problem before. Today I tried to update from 6.1.1 to 6.1.2, but in some Cegcore directories on the server were some temporary backup files I copied there. It seems to be, that the updater tries to clean the whole cegcore directory but fails due to insufficient permissions. At this point some files were already deleted and the updater aborted the update process, so I had to remove the temporary backup files and install the component again.

I guess I have to refrain from copying temporary backup files to the server?

Yes, when updating some files are updated and if permissions are not correct then you may have problem updating!
