Hi,
I would like to use a form on my website with double opt-in to validate mail addresses.
Is there any chance to achieve this with ChronoForms v5?
Could anyone please assist and give me a hand how to do it?
Thanks in advance
Best,
Steffen
Hi Steffen,
You mean email confirmation ? how do you expect the form to work ?

Is this a feature in v6?
I have a license for v5, do I have to purchase for v6 again?
How can I update?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Steffen
It's not a "feature" it's a thing you can set up if you know a little of what you're doing or if you follow the user registration demo form.
You would need to purchase a new licence, because V6 is completely different, way more powerful, and a lot easier to use.
Hmm....but if I have to implement by myself, why should I purchase a new version?
If it's not a feature, I can implement on my own using v5, too.
Best regards,
Steffen
Cool beans. I can't help you with v5 though, so if you need help you'll have to wait for Max or Bob to respond.
Thank you anyway!
Best,
Steffen
Hi Steffen,
If you have a v5 key for a specific domain then it should work fine on v6, but you will need to rebuild most of your form again.
I'm still not sure how do you expect the feature to work exactly ?

Hi,
I will stay on v5 for now...I don't want to rebuild my forms.
What I will do now manually is this:
1. A user fills the form and everything will be saved in a database
2. A random key will be generated and saved into the database, too
3. A mail is send to the user with a link where this random key is included
4. The user clicks the link and comes to another form which checks the key and sets the value of the key to 1 in the database
5. The date when the user clicked the link is also saved in the database
I think that should do it. What do you think?
Best,
Steffen
