Help on newest features of cfv6 or alternative version

emmexx 15 Apr, 2019
I tried cf v 6.0.28 to upgrade a working site with cf v5 (I mean that I started from scratch with a v6 form) but without demos or some manual about the new features it is becoming a waste of time.

Do you plan to publish a manual or a FAQ in the foreseeable future? Otherwise is it possible to use or download a version of cf v6 that uses the old way of managing forms and all other stuff?
I need a stable version with features that I already used and can manage.

Thank you

Hi maxx,

The demo forms will open in the previous setup, you can edit one of those forms if you are not comfortable with the new changes.

But the new changes are just to make the form easier, the sections and events are on the same area, and the pages order matters.

I'll try that, thank you.

I'm sure you made all those changes for a better developing experience but I'm in a hurry, I can't spend my time learning new features by trial and error.
I'll try that in my next project.
I suggest you to put some blocks because some of the new features are confusing (e.g. if the auto display feature is enabled it shouldn't be possible to add a display view action).

bye

I'm going to go with "NO" on your last suggestion. What if the form builder wants to display the auto view AND another view? Happens all the time.

Answer
The "Basic contact" demo in the new update is made using the new mode, hopefully I will be able to update all the demo forms soon.
