Chronoforms has no bult in way of substituting unanswered questions

Hi, I will outline the issue that could otherwise be construed as an improvement request but for my methodology outlined below.

It is poor customer service to send a copy form by Email to a potential customer with an unanswered question - even if the potential customer hasn't answered the question. In this scenario it is far more appropriate to highlight that the customer hasn't answered the question - particularly if it is a service that the customer would actually benefit from and the lack of request means a loss of money to the business. It also makes the business look sloppy.

Chronoforms of course is intended to avoid complex coding being required. If the Developer was able to develop complex HTML forms with PHP functionality then they would have no cause to purchase Chronoforms.

I have already raised this issue as a question in the forum. The kind responses from Healyhatman have highlighted how complex it is to substitute a question with a blank answer with alternative text, even worse for radio buttons. You can see that play out here http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/posts/t106921/p385126/unanswered-or-irrelevant-question-management?startat=0#p385126

My recommendation for a fix is actually for there to be a box available in Chronoforms to provide a substitute for a blank answer, regardless of the type of field. Is that something that you can please incorporate?

Many thanks,

indieben.

{data:formfield/Default if Question Doesn't Exist}
This works for disabled fields and check / radio elements that don't send a ghost value. It doesn't work for non-disabled text fields because they send an empty string. And like I said on that thread, 1) the PHP isn't actually very complex and more importantly b) you don't actually have to use PHP you CAN use a series of Switch actions. It's a BIG BIG BIG difference though between knowing the code required to print out decent looking form response and the code required to do everything else CF can do.

That is possible, I will try to have this in the next update!

{view.label:field} would be nice too.
