That block option that I have just started to use is very powerful.
I am having problems with fields created disappearing between saves. In one case the while set disappeared.
To confuse more the reference block still appears in the calling form even after the block content has been lost and the block title has disappeared from the design view.
I think I am fully up to date with the latest versions of CF5, CF6, CC% & CC6. Is there a list pf current version numbers anywhere?
Regards Nick
ps that etreme problem of a complete loss of the block seems top have occurred after adding a custom html block at the toip of the view block.
Hi Nick,
How many elements did you have in your block with the problem ?

Hi Max
a fair few Max.
See attached - this is where I am now. and so far so good. I was using nested field sets (now removed) and that might have been the part of the problem.

However I mentioned the problem adding a custom HTML. I tried that again and

Not good! 🙂

ps No idea how I have multiple copies
The first one may have a problem if your server max vars setting is not high, but the 2nd one with only 2 fields also have a problem ?

To be clear - that second image is the same block as the first image. I just added a custom HTML to that block and that is what I get. It wasn't a new different block - just corruption of my first block. If that make sense.
I will look at increasing maxvars.
Nick
Yes, thats the value detected in Joomla system info page ?

It is - I can change it in .htaccess. What do you suggest?
Did you see my previous aboiut that corruption. Is that likley to be related to this? That is a nasty problem - just backing up regularly.🙂

Hi Nick,
No problems saving HTML element here, but if the limit is reached then the block is not saved correctly, this has been fixed for the next update!
Could you please check Joomla system info page in the admin area for the "max vars" effective value ?

Hi Max
max_input_vars local value 20000
Is that the info?
Nick
Yes, I'm not sure why it has a problem then, does it happen when you add any other element or only HTML ?
