Last year I initially had all kinds of trouble "Displaying" chronoforms on the new gantry 5 on cf5 and cf6.

I forgot to post the solution.
First create a normal joomla menu item, select Gantry 5, and custom page. Under template style do not select anything yet. Leave this browser open as you will come back to it.
e.g. create G5 Test Menu
Second open Gantry 5. Go to the Menu area at top right and make sure your new G5 Test Menu is there.
Third, create an Outline for G5 Test Menu. Just copy and past an existing outliine, then rename it to G5 Test Menu. Uncheck inheritances and clone it only.
Fourth, go out of Outline, and select the outline at the top left multi select, select G5 Test Menu, go to Assignments for G5 Test Menu and assign the normal joomla menu (G5 Test MEnu) item to the Outline G5 Test Menu.
Fifth, now go back to normal joomla menu item area (browser is still open). Hit save so it refreshes. The go to Template Style and select G5 Test Menu that you created as an Outline in Gantry 5.
Sixth, create a chronoforms module by selecting an existing chronoforms. No need to assign to a joomla page like normal (you already did so for Gantry 5 at step four above)
Seventh, now just go back to Gantry 5, Open the G5 Test Menu Outline, go to Layout, add a Module to the page (somewhere in the middle usually works), and select the module you created at Step 6.
Now go to front end and select the Menu which displays as Gantry 5 interface. Your chronoform will display.
Done!
