'you have entered the wrong security question's answer'

Hi,

We're running Chronoforms v5 on Joomla 3.8.0 php 7.0.

We get the 'you have entered the wrong security question's answer' even when the answer is correct. This is a recent development. The form was working fine up until recently. The only change is we have upgraded Joomla to the latest version and also from php 5 to php 7.

Hi Joanne,

Everything looks OK from the front-end - the security question value is being submitted correctly.

Please try upgrading your site to 3.8.1 as there were bugs in 3.8.0 that might be causing a problem here.

If that doesn't solve it please build a very simple form with just the security question and a submit button with the debugger enabled so that we can see more of what is happening without having to complete the whole form.

Updating to 3.8.1 seems to have fixed it!
