Dynamic Double drop down from multiple tables

bubila 10 Oct, 2017
Hi there, I have a form in CF4 that loads two dropdown the first is a simple drop down, the second one should load results based on the first one. The fact is that the data should be retrieved with a join, from two tables. I actually could't find nor the download page (where the manual should be as stated on the top in red) on your website to see nor other information about how to do this, and I'm really struggling. Whenever I try to search into the forum I get a timeout error, could you please tell me where can I find all information and manual to work with CF6. Thanks a lot

Hi Elisa,

For the manual go to Products > ChronoForms then click the green "Download for free now" and you will see all the download buttons including the manual. (or click here.)

Hi Bob, still me bothering you... I've followed all instruction on the manual but it seems I cannot make this dynamic dropdown work properly. I found out where the join has to be made, but I started with something simple, just enabling the second drop down when an option in the first is selected, but as far as I've tried nothing seems to work, I've set the first dropdown event tab like that: On Change enable and enable validation and in element identifier I've set the name of the second dropdown.
Should I set something else? When I try the from the preview nothing happens with the second field.
I've also tried to load the second dropdown exactly as explained on the manual (page 37/38) (made the same exact example) and the only thing I get is that the second dropdown disappear. Could you please help me?
thanks

Hi Elisa,

By all means PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.
