Hi,

I read somewhere that I can run v4 and v5 in paralell - is that true?
I now have v4 of ChronoForms and ChronoConnectivity and if I install v5 of these they doesn't conflict?
I also read that one could use backup/restore to get from v4 to v5 - true for both CF and CC? And that procedure populates the DB-tables in v5?
If I do so then I'll end up with forms with the same names as v4 - no conflict?

Hi Dennis,

You can run CFv4 and CFv5 and CFv6 together with no conflicts. Same with CC.

You can backup forms from one version and restore in a later one but all that is transferred in the form HTML and the syntax for that probably won't match the new version. It may be easier to re-build.

You can use the same database tables for form data with different versions.

The form names should not conflict as the URLs are different.

The CFv5 shows a restore for a v4 backup, but CCv5 only shows a restore from a v5 backup.
Issues?
