enter key not working?

cachito 07 Sep, 2017
Hello guys,

i hope that this is my last problem with my form. All is ready now, but: when i hit the enter key to submit the form it doesn't work. The only thing that happens is that the circles rotate. When i click the submit-button everything works fine.

Can you give me a hint what's the problem?

Thank you
Gerhard

Hi Gerhard,

I have no idea - not something I've seen before. Please post a link to the form so we can take a look.

Can i send you a private mail, because at this moment a public presentation of the url isn't allowed by my client :?

Hi cahito,

You can use the 'Private' tags here - the 'key' icon at the right above the message editor; or send me a PM here, or use the Contact Us menu above and link to this thread.

Hi Gerhard,

I can confirm the problem - but still don't know what is causing it. Max may have a better idea, if he doesn't reply here please send a message with the Contact Us menu and link to this thread.

Hi,

Please test the form using the "Preview" button in the admin area, does it work or not ?

Best regards,

Hi Max,

thanks for your reply. In the preview mode the Key works as it should be. So it seems to be any function that grabs the enter-key. Do you have any idea how i can find out where the problem is?

Update: the information above is wrong! It doesn't work in Preview-Mode!

Thank you
Gerhard

Answer
Hi cachito,

Your button name is "submit", having this name specifically causes some issues with the enter key so its better to avoid naming any button on your form with this name.
