CF6 error: database connection failed

Resolve a ChronoForms v6 database connection error.

Overview

The error occurs when the Joomla database type is set to MySQL(PDO).
Change the Joomla database type to MySQLi in the server configuration, or wait for the next CF update which includes a fix.

Good day!

I install chronoforms v6 on joomla 3.7.1, php 5.6 and 7.0
I read tutorial for chronoforms v6, page 22
But after I created new form in easy mode or advanced mode, I don't can choose Database table in "Database-Savedata" module.
In option Database table chronoforms show to me error - "Database connection failed".
In Chronoforms v5 i can choose my table.

Same error i see in "Database-Read data" module in CF6
But If i add new model in Read data, then i can choose my table in "Database table" option.

Could you plase help me.

Thank you.

Hi dkopylov,

Please try to enable/disable the pdo mysql module on your server ?

How I can enable/disable this module?

I have a Webspace with joomla

same here :-(

The strange thing is that it worked already, saved even data in a table and a few moments later - "Database connection failed". I will try after the weekend again.

Hello,

Please send a message using the "Contact" page and I will send you a patch file to test it, because the issue is server dependent and I can't produce it here.

I could solve my problem by changing the joomla configuration!
> server > database > type: MySQLi
instead of type: MySQL(PDO)

@Max -
obviously I did not read carefully your post from August 19the "try to enable/disable the pdo mysql module on your server" - sorry.

Maybe this will help others who struggle with the same problem ...
