Two submit buttons and required fields

Hi guys,

my english is not so good, i hope that i can describe my problem.

i have a form with two columns: in the left column there are two fields (user an password) and a button to login to Joomla. The right column is for users without account to do their registration with some required fields.

When a still registered user gives his credentials, the required fields of the right column prohibits the login because not all required fields are filled.

What can i do to avoid this problem?

Hi Gerhard,

Both columns are in the same form, you will need to have 2 forms for this to work as you need, or the other column fields will need to be disabled somehow...
