CF6 - Validate fields - Default validation text translation

Translate or customize default validation error messages in ChronoForms.

Overview

The default validation text appears in English and cannot be automatically translated to the visitor's language.
Update to the latest version, then use the 'Error message' field on the validation tab for a form field to enter custom text or a localization tag.

Hi! When we use 'Validatie fields' (the easy way to validate...) we see the tooltip message 'Please enter a valid value' when the field does not validate. Is there a way to show this text in the language used by the visitor at that moment? Or can we change this ourselfs somehow?

Or do we need to skip the easy way of validating and use Validate data in stead? Can we use translation strings (localization) in the validation setup?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi Jip,

You mean the fields validation ? the next update should have a field for specifying the error message text.

I just installed the new version. I now can add a custom error message. in the field: 'Error message' on the validation tab of a form field (designer).

You can also use a localisation tag.

Thanks Max!
