CF6: no "required" sign (*) displayed in the form

gfadel 25 Jul, 2017
Hello,

I'm trying to evaluate CF6, and when I load an example, the mandatory sign (*) is displayed.

In my own form, the mandatory fields are not marked.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Gustavo

Hi Gustavo,

Please make sure that there are no javascript errors on the page ? does the form actually validate ?

The forms validate normally I guess, but there are no "mandatory signs"... See print attached...

I found this on the console...

Hi gfadel,

There is a javascript error on your page, that needs to be fixed.

Hi,

thanks, but what kind of error? How to fix it? Are you sure that this error is the cause of the CF6 issues?

Just telling me to "fix it" does not help much, unfortunately.

Thanks,

Gustavo

The javascript error is fixed, not showing anymore. But the icons for mandatory fields are still not there. Also the calendar field (data nascimento) also does not show the calendar control.

Please advice.

Hi Gustavo,

The calendar works for me here, but the page does not stop loading, do you have any js error still on the page ?

yes, the calendar is not working, and there are no more java errors... please check the "inspector"... Here the page loads totally, no problem.

But I still get no "mandatory" signs... Any reason for that?

I need to fix this ASAP, please.

Thanks,

Thanks, for the hint, but I need something more concrete.

I believe you work for CF6 support, so I expect a little more help in order to be able to integrate your product.

Could you please investigate deeper?

Thanks,

gfadel

Hi gfadel,

I still see them in the form without the template but not in the one here. I'm not expert in CFv6 but comparing the two I can see that the 'required' class is not being added to the labels.

No, it is not... No mandatory signs (*) yet...
gfadel 13 Aug, 2017
And how to fix it?
