Hi, i have a "graphic" problem about the creation of pdf after the compilations of forms.
As you can see in the attachment, the "bold" phases become bigger than normal and go over the edge; in the middle of the line bold words go over the other words... how can i solve this problem? Tysm!

Hi Angie91 ,
Is this 'standard' text that you use in every pdf? Then you can add <br /> tags to give you the text width that you need.
I don't see the problem with the bold text 'in the middle'??

No, this isn't a "standard" test, so i can't put every time <br/>. I need to find another solution.
In the new attachment you can see the "middle bold text" in the green circle. You can see that <br/> can't be the real solution.
Can u help me?

Hi Angie91,
Please attach a form backup so I can take a look - I can't see any obvious reason fro over-lapping text like that.

Hi Angie91,
Thank you, please will you also check the box next to the form name in the Forms Manager, then click the Backup icon in the Toolbar. That should download a backup file, if you attach that to your post here I can see the whole form.

Hi Angie,
I don't see a TCPDF action anywhere in the F0002 form you sent. Is that the right one?

Hi Angie,
I think that I have worked this out. What is happening is that the ChronoForms TCPDF action only has a standard Helvetica font - so to create the bold words the TCPDF code is creating the bold versions itself - but is only allowing enough space for the character in the standard font - not the new bold wider ones.
Please download this helvetica.file from DropBox, unzip it and copy the four files in there to the /administrator/components/com_chronoforms5/chronoforms/actions/tcpdf/tcpdf/fonts folder on your site. One of them is the existing helvetica.php - you can over-write that or not. The other three are bold, italic and bold-italic versions of the font. With those installed the TCPDF action should find and use them giving you the correct spacing.
Bob
PS If you need the other fonts, please ask.

Omg, you're a genius!!!! Tyvm!! How can i honor you??
If you can, can u pls link me some other fonts like "verdana" and so on? You're very very kind.
Another important questions: in case of updates of Chronoforms will I lose all this changes?
Ty againg.

Hi Angie,
Unfortunately I don't see an easy way to add fonts other than the three that are built into the TCPDF action: Helvetica, Courier and Times Roman (the action won't recognise them).
The extra files shouldn't be affected by upgrades to ChronoForms.
Bob
PS I did once have a very roughly hacked version of the action that would accept more fonts. It's not usable at present but if you badly need other fonts I can see if it can be fixed.

Hi,
The latest tcpdf action update for v6 can take any font name in the settings as long as the font file is available in the action directory.
Best regards,
Max
