Chronoform v6: where are demo forms?

giulia72 08 May, 2017
Hi
I have installed ChronoForms v6 as the v5 didn't work on Joomla 3.7

I have seen it is a little bit different:
I cannot find anymore demo forms ( I was looking for demo-joomla-registration).

Where is it?
Thank you
Giulia

I have the same problem

Hi,

If you click the New button you will see a list of demo forms you can load - but there isn't a Joomla Registration one there.

You can I think do a Joomla! Registration using the Save User action in the Joomla! actions group on the Setup tab.

In the user name registration form I want to insert the field "verify password"
I thought to insert a second password field and as confirm to set "password" (id name of first password filed) but there is only "validation" field...how I can have a verification password field?

Thank you

other problem in the same form:
I have used Joomla! Save action and I have inserted the name of relative field IDs in General tab, but when I test the form it register the name, username and password of field ID I have set in the form configuration and not what I insert in the form (I hope it is clear).

Also it seems all more complecated of v5 and without a minimum of help

Is it possible to use v5 in Joomla 3.7 ?

Hi giulia72 ,

Sorry I don't understand the CFv6 problem, if you like take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here and I'll take a closer look.

I've seen no problems so far with CFv 5 on Joomla! 3.7

Hi,

How exactly v5 does not work on J3.7 ?

v6.0.4 have more validation rules config fields, but the field "password" does not have all the options of the field "text", so you can use the "Validation rules" box:

match[field_id]:Error message here

Hi
I would to use v5 (I 'm not feel comfortable with v6)

I have intalled it on mi Joomla 3.7 and when I try to open any Chronoforms demo the page remain blocked to "loading..." (in a loop)

Why?
giulia72 09 May, 2017
If I create a new form, no one of buttons (save, close, designer...) works

Sorry, my fault

I have installed the version 5.0 but after a while the system shows me a new version (v.5.14) .
I didn't see it before as on my computer the updateing was a little bit slow

Now it seems to work

Hi Giulia,

Its advised to use v6 for new forms, if you have the latest update v6.0.4 (please download from the downloads page) then create a new "easy form", and the interface should be very simple to work with, you can later switch to advanced mode after you get familiar with the easy interface.

I have just installed the version 5 on a couple of websites and also acquired a pack of validations codes for my domain and sub-domains

What happens to my actual forms in v5? Is there any migration process?

What happens to my validation codes?
Max_admin 09 May, 2017
Hi Giulia,

Your validation codes should still work fine.

Your actual forms should also stay as they are, if you try to export v5 forms to v6 (both versions can work on the same website) then most of the designer section will be exported, but the form setup no.
