Private Message Recipients Lists No Options

Hi all,
I'm running ChronoForums v1.1.6 July 2016 under Joomla 3.6.5.

I have the same problem as detailed in the two closed threads below. How should I go about troubleshooting this?

There is a new version ready for release, but its totally new and you will need to import the old version content, let me know if you are interested and I can send you the installer.
