When trying to hide or show another field based on the selection of, say, a radio group, what is the difference between using general Designer Events and using the Events tab under Edit element settings?

Designer Events vs. Element Settings Events
Hi boyjah,
Mainly there are more options on the Designer Events tab - for example - you can trigger something on typing in a text box element (which has no events tab of it's own). In general I suggest that you use the element Events tab first as that keeps the action clearly linked to that element. And use the Designer Events tab if that method doesn't work. The rationale for this is that when you - or someone else - comes to edit the form in the future it is easier to work out what is happening.
