Chronoforms creates fatal error after joomla update

Yellenova 09 Aug, 2016
Hello!

I just updated my website from joomla 2.5 to joomla 3.6. I have PHP 5.5 and updated chronoforms to 5.0.12. Directly after the update to joomla 3.6 I get a fatal error. At the back en front end. Updating to chronoforms 5.0.12 at the back end didn't get the problem solved.

I get this error:
Warning: require_once(/var/www/vhosts/turn2win.nl/httpdocsDSincludesDSdefines.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/turn2win.nl/httpdocs/plugins/content/chronoforms/chronoforms.php on line 3 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/var/www/vhosts/turn2win.nl/httpdocsDSincludesDSdefines.php' (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/turn2win.nl/httpdocs/plugins/content/chronoforms/chronoforms.php on line 3

I can't remove and make a clean install of chronoforms at the back end. Because that's function doesn't work afther the error.
Who can help me solve this problem? Thank you in advance!

Hi Ellen,

It looks as if your error is coming from an old version of the CFv4 plug-in. If you are using CFv5 only on this site then you can delete it. If you are using both CFv4 and v5 then you should remove the CFv4 plug-in (just the plug-in, not the component) and re-install the current version.

Thank you Bob for your answer. I can't remove the older version at the backend of joomla because of this problem. How can i remove it with an ftp program? Is it as simple as just remove al the files of chronoforms?

Hi Ellen,

With FTP you can try deleting the plug-in folder /plugins/content/chronoforms
