I need to create a dozen or more new forms based on various old forms. To speed things up I would like to be able to copy all of the fields from one form and then paste them into a new form. Is there a way to duplicate forms that are already saved?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hi GhostInTheMachines,
There's a Copy Form icon in the Forms Manager toolbar.
Bob
PS If the forms are similar then in general it can be simpler in the long run to adapt one form to be dynamic i.e. to show different element or use different actions rather than having multiple copies to maintain.

Hi Bob,
Yes, I think I used this button and as seen in the attached screenshot it looks like the copy was successful. The problem at this point is that I am not sure where the copy is and how I can use it to start a new form.
Regarding the dynamic form comment, once the new features are added to the old forms and tested to be functional, the old forms will be deleted and no longer used.

No way to edit posts here but after paging to the last page of the forms manager I can now see where the copies are placed. I'll mark this as answered since adapting the forms is probably not an option that I need right now.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Hi GhostInTheMachines,
When you make a copy the new form is identical to the first except for the form ID which will be the highest ID in the manager. Click the Form ID column header to sort the column.
You should change the name of one of the two forms as ChronoForms can get confused if there are two forms with the same name as that - and not the ID - is use to identify forms in Joomla! pages.
