display in Joomla XTC modal from chronoforms

We are using the Joomla XTC modal plugin.

WHen I try to use it to display software terms & conditions from a form, the entire web page is displayed, not just the article content. See attached image.

Any ideas what I should try?

I should also say that the modal plugin works as expected outside of Chronoforms.

There's no image attached, please click Upload before Submit.

You need to add &tmpl=component to the URL you are using to display the t&cs.
