Drag and drop between different containers

mapk 05 May, 2016
Hello,

I tried to find an answer inside the forum but found just an old 2014 post.

In advanced mode, inside setup, I can't drag and drop elements/actions between different containers. For example if I add a Honeypot or Check Captcha, I can't drag an existing element inside them... I need to drag and drop a new one and configure again.

I would like to know if there is a solution about this or I'm doing something wrong.

Thank you.

Hi mapk,

You can only drag and drop new actions. you can copy, paste and delete existing ones if you need to move them.

You don't need to drag any elements into a HoneyPot or Check Captcha (or any of the other validation actions) apart from an Event Loop into the pink OnFail action. Please leave the On Success action empty and put any following actions after the validation action.

Hi Bob,
thanks! Good to know🙂 I thought it was necessary to put all inside the "On Success".

But in general, how to copy and paste? I see just "Edit - Drag - Delete" on top right of each element... I ask about it because I use also other events like joomla registration and article. I know there is a copy-paste solution on Designer tab, but on Setup?

Thanks again.

Hi Marco,

My apologies - you are right, that is only on the Designer tab :-(

What I do is to open a second copy of the form in a different browser window then copy and paste the settings from the old action to the new one. It doesn't take long and works OK as long as I remember which version to save.
