Upgrade to Joomla 3.5.0, CVF5 shows empty page in backend

nicolafw 25 Mar, 2016
Hi,

I have upgraded to Joomla 3.5.0, running on PHP 5.5. After that I could not access CFV5 (5.0.10) in the backend, there is only an empty page. Now I have upgraded CFV5 to 5.0.11, now I have a second component, showing no forms.

(I have issues on an other Joomla page which I will post in a separate thread.)

Thanks for any help!

Hi Nicola,

You can both Cfv4 and CFv5 installed.

If your forms were built with CFv4 then they should still be available under the ChronoForms menu.

Oh, sorry, you are right, it is an CFV4. I uninstalled CFV5 now, but CFV4 still show an empty page. The entire backend disapears.

Hi Nicola,

I'm confused between your posts - is this working now or do you still have a problem?

This problem persists, the other one is solved. Sorry for the confusion. I'm working on both sites.

Hi Nicola,

If the entire back-end disappears and you see a blank page then it is probably a PHP error. Please see this FAQ

Okay, that is the message I get:

Warning: require_once(/home/fritzage/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/versions/j3.5/admin.chronoforms.php) [function.require-once.php]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/fritzage/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 19

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require.php]: Failed opening required '/home/fritzage/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/versions/j3.5/admin.chronoforms.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/share/pear') in /home/fritzage/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 19

Sorry, I have no idea what that means...

Hi Nicola,

The Error messages are coming from ChronoForms v4 - not from v5. You can install the latest version of CFv4 to fix it (see this FAQ for more info about the error).
