Minimizing emails received from Chronoforms as spam

bman2013 25 Feb, 2016
I have inquiries that come in from my website into several email boxes. The "FROM" part of the email is setup as the person who filled out the form, so that when I or someone else receives the email, it is easy to just hit reply and respond back to the user instead of having to manually remembering to copy and paste the email address of the person into the To field.

The problem is, sometimes gmail or some other inbox that receives the inquiries will treat it as spam because it assumes it is a spammer since the FROM email is spoofed from Chronoforms. How do I set it so that it will come from a generic email address but have ability to add a "reply-to" in the form that gets sent to the email inboxes so that when user hits reply it populates the TO field with the person who filled out the form?

Hi bman2013,

I strongly recommend that you do *not* use the Dynamic From Email element in your Email Setups. Using this often results in your emails being marked as spam and dropped into a spam filter. Instead use the static From Email with an address that matches the site domain name and use Dynamic ReplyTo Email for the user email. The result is the same but with a much better chance of good delivery.
