Datepicker 'suddenly' stopped

Hi guys,

You haven't heard from me in a long time, because everything 'just worked' :-) You probably don't remember, but I have bought a license a few times.

I don't think this is the same as the pollito thread I searched up.

Earlier today I had the strange situation where the datepicker worked fine for me, but showed as a black window for someone else and as a simple text box for another. After clearing cache and reloading it turned into that same simple text box where formerly it had popped up the datepicker for a couple of years.

I *think* I updated JCE last week on that site via the builtin joomla update. That's all I can think of. I haven't touched the form itself in years and it was working fine even today. That is until I had the idea to clear my cache...

I'm using Joomla 3.4.8 and Chronoforms_V5.0.10_Component.zip.

Hi Paul,

Sounds like something has changed on your site and there is now a JavaScript error on the page - get that fixed and the datepicker should work fine.

Yes, I had surmised that much ;-) I thought you might know of some specific conflict from something lately -- although I had searched the forum already, I might have missed the thread.

The only thing I recall that I updated lately was jce, but disabling that plugin didn't help at all. Ah well. Not a show-stopper I suppose. The datepicker was more of a nice-to-have.

Hi gemlog,

If you check the page with your browser web developer tools you should see any JavaScript errors reported in the console there. Nothing has changed in ChronoForms so the most likely explanation is that something else has.
