Hello,
I have been designing some forms last week in Joomla 3.4.8 and everything was working great. However, yesterday I upgraded to Joomla 3.5.0-beta and now when I click on a form in the "Forms Manager", the "Loading" icon appears and just continues to run, without loading in the form.
Has anybody else experienced problems running Chronoform v. 5 in Joomla 3.5.0-Beta?
Thanks,
Scott
Hi Scott,
I haven't yet installed 3.5 beta anywhere to test - are there any error messages that might help?
Bob
Hi Bob,
I do not see any error messages, I also checked the site's logs and there are two errors, but I do not think that they are related.

When I go into the Chronoforms component in the Joomla backend, and I click on a form, the "loading" icon appears and just spins and spins. I tried doing an uninstall of Chronoforms and reinstalling, and that did not work. I also tested the component on another site that is on 3.4.8 of Joomla, and the component works fine.
Hi Scott,
As soon as I have time I'll install a copy somewhere and take a look.
I checked the log, thank you, and don't see anything likely there.
Bob
Hi Bob,
Is there already a fix for this problem?
Thanks
Hi Bob,
I'm not using PHP 5.7
I'm using Joomla! 3.5.0-beta3 and PHP 5.6.24-72.2.
When I try to make a new form I can only edit the first tab but I can't save the form.
The images in the buttons (Test form, Save, Save & Close, ...) aren't loaded.
When I restore a form and try to edit it, I get the "Loading" icon.
Hi carionpiet,
My apologies - you are correct - when I switch my site back from PHP 7 to 6,10 I see the same problems you describe.
I was sure that I tested a few forms when I was getting PHP 7 to install but I was having some problems with that so maybe I got confused :-(
I think that Max may have a fix for that already . . . I'll check with him.

Hi Bob,
I changed the administrator template to "Hathor" and now it seems to be working....
Hi carionpiet,
Well found - that works for me too. Just switching back to PHP 7 and see if it's OK there as well . . .
Bob
Looks to me like Hathor solves the problem when running PHP 7 too.
I think that Max has a fix for this in his next release so that should make it OK with Isis too.

Hi Bob,
I've updated to 3.5.0 and I'm having this issue too changing backend theme seems working is there a solution?
thanks
Hi allemontanari,
At the moment the solution is to change the Admin template. I've updated the FAQ with a link to a BootStrap compatible version of the Isis template that - so far - appears to work OK with CFv5.
Bob
Hi bon-ja-mon,
I don't know if Max is looking at this. It seems to me that it probably a problem with the old Isis template as I've seen it reported with other components.
Bob
Hi,
I have tested on the default isis template and it works fine (editing the demo forms), if it doesn't work for you then please send me a temporary admin login details (using PM) and I will check it.

Thanks Max
The standard administrator template of isis still has this issue as far as I can tell. I have PM you access details if you could take a little look?
Cheers
Hi Max
Update for you....
I have just noticed that Chronoforms_V5.0.11_Component.zip has been released. I was on V5.0.10. I have updated to V5.0.11 and CF is working fine with the standard isis administrator template.
Many thanks for offering to check out my site, but this isnt needed now.
Keep up the great work
Ben
Argh !!
Seems as if I spoke too soon Max. I have updated to 5.0.11 but I still have the constant spinning Loading icon when I try to go in to a CF form when I am on the standard isis administrator password.
The site access details I PM'd you are still valid if you could take a look when you get a moment.
Thanks
Ben
Extensions -> Templates -> Isis -> Advanced -> Pinned Toolbar -> NO
the problem disappears!
Thank you, I have added this hint to the FAQ!
