Form built...what next?

Hi everyone, I'm new to ChronoForms, and I'm looking for a little advice that's probably been replied to a hundred times on the forums, and this is my first post. I've got a nice looking form that I want to use for submitting coins to my coin collection. I have an example up on my site at http://www.dansmith.ca - click FormsTest in the Main Menu and you'll see what I've just completed.

My question is, can I use this form to submit images of my coins, along with each of the fields I've already defined to a database and display them in a neat manner? I'm sure ChronoForms can do this, but I can't figure out how to hook it up to a data source. I thought that by creating a form that it would automatically display the results of what I entered but when I hit "Submit" it doesn't do anything (yet). I've skimmed the documentation and read some of the forum posts but I was hoping someone would say, "it's very simple, like this..." and there would be my answer, but it's turning out a bit more difficult than I had anticipated.

To see what I'm getting at, you can also click the "View the Collection" link to see what I mean, but render the page with thumbnails rather than scaled down full-sized images.

Thank you for any advice. I think this ChronoForms will do the trick for me if I know how to get it to display my results.

Cheers!

Hi Dan,

ChronoForms doesn't do anything unless you tell it to. Please check this video for the DB Save.

To display the results you can use ChronoConnectivity or a custom form. There's also an Image ReSizer action you can use to create thumbnails.

Excellent advice, Bob! Thank you!

I installed ChronoConnectivity and have it installed and configured to the best of my knowledge, and I get Access Denied when trying to view my results. Is that Access Denied to the table, or access denied to the form results? How can I tell and where can I change it. I see some places where I can set permissions but they're already inherited from the top level, which is "public".

I've fixed my Access Denied message by giving Front View permissions for Public to "Allowed", but don't see any results. I can view the database entries in ChronoForms5 so I know there is data in the table.

Hi Dan,

CC can get quite complex and I'm not expert. The best way to start is to follow Max's tutorials in the FAQs here.
