restricted area popup in IE

Fellyboy 30 Dec, 2015
Dear all

In Internet Explorer, a popup message appears with wanted that user has to enter username and password. No such popup appears when I use e.g. Firefox.
See Printscreen for details.

I've found a posts here in the forum, but this topic is closed: http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/posts/t88519.html

Any solutions for that issue?

I use a password protection for the Joomla Backend.

Thanks for the help and regards

Hi,

I suspect that the answer is the same as in the earlier thread, This is coming from a server security setting of some kind, it's not directly added by ChronoForms.

Hi Bob

Thanks for the reply. I've now deleted the .htaccess and htpasswd files in the administrator folder of my Joomla installation. Now, everything is OK.

Perhaps you have to think about a solution in on of the next releases not to load anything from the administrator folder.

Many of the hosters postulate a password protected Joomla Backend.

Regards and happy new year!
