In the Forms Manager under Diagnostics my form reports 1 Issue.

Checking the form under the Setup menu item, I find a red label in de DB Read module stating: Table selected ? I use the DB Read to connect to an external database (3rd tab: External Database).

All three tabs in the DB Read module have an Enable dropdown. As I use no Relations, that tab is not Enabled.

The logical thing would be to either enable the first (Basic) tab when connecting to a Joomla table, or the third tab when connecting to an external one.
But... when I do so, I get no data from my external table. I have to Enable both the 'Basic' and the External Database' tab in order to get my data.

Because I didn't select a Joomla table on the first tab (because I don't use one), the DB Read module gives me the '1 issue' warning.

The Enabled on the Basic tab 'enables' the whole action, the one on the External Database tab enables use of that db. They should probably be called something different.

Also I agree that the red icons are not always strictly accurate - they should be taken as an indicator rather than as absolutely correct.

Hi Bob,
I just selected a random Joomla table and checked that it did not influence the working of my form, and it doesn’t.
And the ‘1 issue’ warning went away, problem solved.
