Render html action stops form from saving

johnnyb 24 Nov, 2015
I'm in the setup tab on my first form. If I try saving step by step it all works until I try to add the 'Render Form" action. After adding that (at any point in the process) the form does not save and I am redirected to the front end of the site. The session is still good, and pressing "back" in browser takes me into form set up again.
Weird. I would say it may not be a Chronoforms issue, as I've had trouble saving articles also, but the form does save everything else. (See attached image).
Really appreciate any pointers.

Hi johnnyb,

I've no idea about that one - maybe some site security setting?

By all means PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look in the morning.

Hey Bob
This must be some site setting or .php configuration setting - I recently tried to edit the .css file for the template and got the same result. Weird. I hate weird!
Anyway, I don't think it's a Chrono Forms issue. Checking with the hosting company.
This update just for the record in case anyone else is looking re. this problem.

Answer
Okay, got the solution. So easy....

What you need to do is the following:

1. Login to the cPanel account.
2. Locate the ModSecurity icon and click on it.
3. Disable the ModSecurity for the domain in question from the new window that opens up and you are done.
4.(optional) you can enable the ModSecurity for the domain after you are finished with your changes.

Hi johnnyb,

If you can check the mod security logs you can probably see which rules cause the problem and disable them.
