Hi all.
I had on my site version 3 (I tink) of Chronoforms. I think because I was NOT able to open the old component: server error 500
OK, so I installed version 5. I created a brand new form, tested it, and what I found in the email that was correctly sent after submit?
The old and apparently NOT disappeared form from the previous version.
OK, so I disinstalled the old version, out of the site and back again, tried again, same old ghost form.
OK, so I disinstalled the NEW version, the V5, out of the site and back again, installed again V5, uploaded the brand new form version from the disk, tried again, same old ghost form!
No trace of the new one.
Any ideas of how to solve the issue? Haunted forms?

Hi ricand.xi,
ChronoForms v3 doesn't run on Joomla! 3 so you may have had ChronoForms v4 installed.
What exactly is the problem with the Email templates? There is no way I know of for a CFv4 template to find it's way into a CFv5 form.

Hi GreyHead,
I found in the backup files in the computer the Chronoforms version I installed in 2013: it was V4.04
So, to find the ghost…
The problem with server error 500 I had (before uninstalling V4) in the site I'm just working on (it's a dummy site, for checking procedures before working on the "true" site) I have just now on the true site with the same versions of Chronoforms and Joomla (Chronoforms_V5.0.10_Component - Joomla 3.4.5).
And in neither of two sites it works/worked.
I was able to see in the Joomla components section that there was a Chronoforms item, but every choice I made was rewarded with that server error.
Anyway, I'm working around it. I uninstalled that version and installed V5.
After your remark on the Email templates I found that THAT was the problem! Thanks, GreyHead! Resolved!
I found that in both Emails 0 and 1, the template generation was in custom mode, and looking at the html it was that one of the old version! I’ve no idea how, even after uninstalling the previous version, still there was that ghost!
I changed the template generation to auto, erased all that code and now it works.
Moreover I found that the copy option in the Designer copy ALL the data, even the field name and so, creating in reality duplicates. I resolved changing that also and now it works. Never checked that, I think I expected something like “Copy” in Excel… Perhaps you should stress that in the documentation.
Ah, another thing! I was banging my head on the wall hoping to find something in the documentation, forums, even “Chronoforms starter guide” as simple as how to insert a label!
I found it only in your youtube “ChronoForms v5 A New Simple Form” the path Designer – Advanced – Custom.
Perhaps this also should find its way in the documentation. It’s absurdly simple, OK, BUT you have to found it!
