Additional Fields also in Backend User List

cachito 26 Aug, 2015
Hi guys!

I've made a registration form with Chronoforms which has some additional fields. I want to show this additional fields also in the Backend-User-List. What is the best way to do that? The only solution i found is to hack the orginal joomla files but after every update these hacks are lost...

Hi Gerhard,

I think that you can use the Joomla! User Profile and add extra fields there. Or you can create a listing in ChronoConnectivity that will combine the User table and a custom table.

And how can i tell the Joomla User Plugin to use fields from my chronoforms table?

Is there a tutorial how i can to this with ChronoCennectivity?

Hi cachito,

a. You can't, you'd need to create extra profile fields and save the form data into the Profile table.

b. Save the form data including the User ID to a new table, then build a ChronoConnectivity listing that reads that table and 'joIns' the Joomla! user table linked on the User ID, then the listing can contain records from both tables.

Hi cachito,

Use the Admin view to build the list instead of the Front view.

Though I would probably use the Front view and set permissions to allow admin access only.

Thank you Bob!

But is the only possibility to show the Admin-View to click the menu Components->ChronoConnectivity->... and the Admin-View? Is there a way to make a new menu? This would be much easier for my client...

Hi gerhard,

Not that I know of - but I haven't used CC in the Admin recently. (it is simpler to put it in the front-end, you can add to a menu there).
