Can anyone please explain why I am not able to edit items on the set up screen as per the example. The area that I want to edit is greyed as the background. If I click to edit it crashes back to the main screen

Hi Nick,
There may be a JavaScript error - or a CSS conflict with the modal window settings. Do you see any clues in your browser Web developer tools? Or try a different browser and see if you get the same error there?

Hi Bob
I shall investigate that.. As to the browser though - I don't have the same problem with my development site in a different tab of the same browser. Not sure if this is relevant but the problem site runs in an old version of Joomla.
Thanks

Hi Bob
NBG with other browsers on a couple of machines. No messages to be seen. In the end on an earlier copy of the site I un-installed and reinstalled CF5 - well all of the chronoengine products actually. That fixed it though it needed the forms copied over from the production site. I will do the same to the production site but it does sound like some CF5 problem. If you or Max want to look at it I will set up a copy of the site before I do it.

Hi Nick,
The other thing to check is to see if there is a problem with the z-index CSS for the modal background that is moving it in front of the modal window, I think I saw that once before.
